Quayside Online Engagement  In the light of the evolving circumstances and disruptions related to COVID-19, Waterfront Toronto is extending the feedback deadline for the Quayside online consultation to April 9, 2020. From Waterfront Toronto: Public consultation has made a significant difference to the Quayside project and will continue to help inform our views and decisions in the coming months. Online Consultation – Round 2 Online consultations are identical to information covered and sought through in-person consultations. Provide your feedback from February 24 – April 9, 2020. To access the online consultation please click HERE. Round Two Public Consultation Waterfront Toronto has completed the technical evaluation of Sidewalk Labs’ proposal for Quayside. On February 29 we shared and sought feedback on the outcomes of the evaluation and whether the proposal addresses the pressing urban challenges our city is facing. Consultation Materials for round two are contained within this Discussion Guide, which is an all-in-one information package that focuses on Waterfront Toronto’s technical evaluation of Sidewalk Labs’ Master Innovation and Development Plan (MIDP). The meeting was comprised of opening and closing plenary along with four topic-specific breakout rooms including Economic Development, Partnership and Digital; Complete Communities; Sustainability; and New Mobility. Jamii and The St. Lawrence in the News  During the last week of March, local arts organization Jamii hosted a series of mobile musical performances designed to reinforce the message of staying at home and physical distancing while lifting spirits through the gift of music. The first performer, Domanique Grant performed a song that she wrote about the impact of COVID19 measures on Toronto and the spirit of the city.
That performance was professionally recorded and made into a video that was shared with media and featured on several stations and websites including BlogTO. Businesses Open DURING COVID-19 From the St. Lawrence BIA: Now, more than ever, local businesses need your support. A number of Old Town Toronto restaurants and other businesses are currently providing modified services (delivery, take out, virtual consultations, etc.) to serve the community safely.
