Two x 30 Live at the Kisanii Hub From June 9 - June 11 On The Esplanade ‘Two x 30’ explores the link between our collective and unconscious patterns of movement and our environment - the landscape and waterways, and surrounding architecture. What begins as 'passing each other on the sidewalk' soon develops into an intricate physical conversation, highlighting the complexity of human interaction and communication. It is an outdoor contemporary dance/live art work, presented in a series of 50-minute duet performances, stretching across the city of Toronto in May/June 2022. Each highly-structured, improvised movement-based performance is paired with a robust sonic score which supports and enhances the viewing experience. Prior to Twox30 performances, audiences will be treated to live music by Arlene Paculan, Michael Clarke, and Aline Morales! During the event, Kisanii Hub’s Storytelling and Face Painting corners will be welcoming all ages of the community. For the first time ever, Cathy Thorne will be joining the Kisanii Hub with her typewriter for Esplanadians to experience the art of creating typewriter poetry in 5 minutes or less - on the spot!
