This evening (March 27th) at 7 p.m., all neighbourhood residents are invited to join us (via live videoconference) for the 2024 St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Association Annual General Meeting. See below for the link to join this meeting.
In addition to learning about all the key activities and initiatives over the past year, we will be welcoming our Ward 13 Councillor Chris Moise to talk about local city initiatives and priorities for our historic centre of the city. As with most Annual General Meetings, we will also be electing our new Board of Directors during tonight’s online event. SLNA AGM Agenda

We are pleased to announce that Wendy Vincent, the guest curator for The Market Gallery’s current exhibit - “Migrant Stories” will be the featured speaker at the SLNA’s April 24th Community Meeting.
Migrant Stories is a pop up exhibit supported by The International City Partnerships and the Migrant Story Telling Project. Toronto and its partner city of Frankfurt, Germany are working on a multi-year joint program to build an experience where migrant stories are shared and amplified through a global and local lens. Historically, Toronto and Frankfurt are arrival cities and both recognize the importance of municipal leadership on newcomer and migrant issues. This is the first of various projects in this Toronto-Frankfurt partnership. Migrant Stories uses video to highlight the compelling stories of migrants to Toronto, in their own words. Also featured as a part of Migrant Stories are the experiences of and artifacts from the life of Lloyd Lindo, aka "Uncle Lloyd," a Jamaican British (Windrush Generation) migrant who arrived in Toronto in the mid-20th century and whose story spans three continents and many decades. Exhibit Title: Migrant Stories Dates: March 7 - May 4 (Wednesday-Sunday, 11am - 4pm) Location: The Market Gallery, 95 Front Street East (2nd Floor) FREE Admission Visit www.toronto.ca or email [email protected] to learn more |
