The Directors may, as they feel necessary, appoint ad-hoc committees or groups of Delegates and others to discuss or organize any activities within the scope of the SLNA and may also revoke any such appointments and/or abolish any such committees or groups.

Description of responsibilities and objectives: This committee organizes events for the neighbourhood in addition to the annual Canada Day Parade and Picnic. Since 2005, Canada Day has been celebrated in the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood with community parade, music, a cake and tons of fanfare! In recent years, the festivities have been centred in St. James Park with the community parade marching into the festivities within the park.
Community Environment Day

Description of responsibilities and objectives: The Community Environment Day is an annual neighbourhood event and it is hosted by our local Councillor, normally in May.

Description of responsibilities and objectives:
The primary purpose of this group is to connect the various waste management resources in the neighbourhood to benefit residents and improve the effectiveness of waste reduction efforts in the St. Lawrence neighbourhood.
