The SLNA is currently accepting nominations for open positions on the SLNA Board. ALL delegates are invited to nominate candidates for the SLNA Board of Directors. The election for open positions will take place in March at the regularly scheduled monthly SLNA meeting for delegates and the community (March 25, 2020).
As a result of Director terms ending and prior resignations we have five board openings as follows:
The SLNA Community Meeting takes place ten times per year and the Board normally meets once a month.
Currently the Board meeting is held the second Wednesday of the month from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Returning to the board to complete their terms are:
Bruno Leps until 2021
Toby Tenenbaum until 2022
Brian McElwain until 2022

Directors are elected for terms up to three years and not elected to specific positions. The Board consists of eight Directors, and at its first meeting following the AGM will elect their officers.
Directors must be Delegates and nominations can be made in three ways:
2) be nominated in advance by another Delegate, and this case must agree to serve if elected
3) be nominated by another Delegate at the AGM and the candidate must be present and agree to serve if elected
Nominations received by the Nominations Committee Chair (Marcus Little) at least 48 hours prior to the AGM (Monday, March 25) will appear on pre-printed ballots and will be posted. The names of the candidates nominated after this deadline will be added to the ballots at the AGM.
Candidates will be invited to present a short statement prior to the voting. The candidates receiving the highest votes will be elected.
In order for its Delegates to be eligible to be nominated and/or vote, a housing group’s Membership Fee for 2019 must be received by the Treasurer prior to the start of the AGM. Delegates names must also be confirmed by their housing group prior to the start of the AGM.
