The Santa Parade is Coming to the
​St. Lawrence Market

​On Sunday, November 26 the 2023 Toronto Santa Parade will be rolling into our neighbourhood and you can catch it in front of the St. Lawrence Market on Front St. where the parade will end.

​Help Shape the Quayside Public Realm

Join Waterfront Toronto on November 20 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. for a virtual (Zoom) public meeting about the streets and public realm being designed around the new Quayside community.

Quayside is a 4.9 hectare area of land at the foot of Parliament Street on Toronto’s eastern downtown waterfront. Two distinct but connected projects will transform Quayside from an underused area into a dynamic, inclusive and resilient community.

Waterfront Toronto is delivering the area’s infrastructure and public realm (including new streets, public spaces, active transportation infrastructure and other amenities), and local developers Dream Unlimited and Great Gulf Group – together known as Quayside Impact Limited Partnership – are developing the mixed-use community.

At this interactive virtual meeting you’ll learn more about the public realm work being led by Waterfront Toronto, including project context, overarching goals, design strategies and project elements. You’ll also hear how the project embraces ecology, mobility and movement, and activation and amenities.

Your feedback and comments will help Waterfront Toronto and our design team refine the public realm designs, ensuring that this work activates the waterfront, meets the needs of residents, celebrates the ecology of the area and establishes Quayside as a destination.

You Are Invited - Enoch Turner Schoolhouse Christmas Dinner
175th Anniversary

The Enoch Turner Schoolhouse is the oldest school still standing in Toronto and is a designated historic site and museum located at 106 Trinity St. (just south of King St. and West of Parliament). The Enoch Turner Schoolhouse Foundation will be hosting a Christmas Dinner on December 1st that will feature a Heritage Champion Award presentation, live entertainment and holiday cheer in celebration of the 175th Anniversary of Toronto’s First Free School.
