Ontario Line Update: King St. E & Berkeley St.

Today, the province released the initial renderings of 14 stations along the 15.6 kilometre Ontario Line that will provide rapid transit between Exhibition/Ontario Place and the Ontario Science Centre. The initial station renderings show early planning and design concepts for the Ontario Line stations, which will connect to more than 40 other transit routes, including GO train lines, existing TTC subway and streetcar lines, and the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit line.

Pictured above is the rendering for the station in our neighbourhood (still to be named) and it will be located at the corner of King St. E. and Berkeley St.

The City is improving Market Lane Park, located at 149 King St. E, adjacent to the North St. Lawrence Market building. The park is part of a network of public spaces being improved in the growing St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood, which has a deep cultural history and archeological significance. The park design will be informed by feedback from the local community, stakeholders, and Indigenous communities.
