High Resolution Flyer for Printing From the Market Gallery The hours of the Market Gallery (located in the St. Lawrence Market's South Building) are now Wednesday to Friday, 11 am – 5 pm and Saturday, 11 am – 4 pm. The Market Gallery is pleased to present a guided tour of the current exhibit, "60 Works / 60 Years: Toronto Outdoor Art Fair at 60" on Thursday, May 26 and Thursday, July 7 from 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm. The tour will be led by Flavio Belli, an artist, curator and long-time friend of the Art Fair. Admission is free but spaces are limited. Please register at eventbrite.ca. Open Doors Toronto Once again the Market Gallery will be participating in the annual Doors Open Toronto event, this year taking place Saturday May 28 and Sunday May 29. Admission is free and the event runs from 10 am to 5 pm each day, with last admission at 4:30. Visitors will be able to view the current exhibit and staff will be on hand to answer questions about the history of the building. There will be no access to the 3rd floor art vault this year. From the St. Lawrence Market Business Improvement Association (Old Town Toronto): This notice is to inform you that the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood BIA (Old Town Toronto), with support of the resident led St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Association, in partnership with the St Lawrence Market, working with the City of Toronto, will be closing Market Street, (Front Street to The Esplanade) to open it up to pedestrians from early June to late September 2022. Public furniture, pop-up entertainment and food events are currently being planned to activate the pedestrianized street. We hope you will come enjoy this newly transformed public space! The Street Summit which is a 2-day public event on May 27th and 28th that assembles citizens, urbanists, designers, researchers, city-builders and artists alike to consider how we can challenge traditional understandings of city streets. Think conference meets workshop meets art project meets the underside of the highway!
