Space Funds Allocations Space Funds totalling $2260 were allocated as follows:
The Friends of St. James Park: $1,000 to assist in organizing events in St. James Park in the summer of 2020, following the Phase 2 Revitalization.
The Bentley: $250 contribution to ongoing fundraising efforts towards the installation of a Heritage Toronto plaque.
PAL Chorale: $110 to allow the director of PAL Chorale to travel to and from Toronto to conduct rehearsals.
Tom Longboat Plaque: At least $900 to pay for a plaque commemorating Tom Longboat, a First Nations athlete and World War 1 hero, for whom Longboat Place is named. The precise cost will be determined when additional costing information is provided.
An additional $1,000 was received from a Canada Day sponsor bringing the total sponsorship fees to $2350, reducing the SLNA’s Canada Day costs to $2545.28.
The SLNA and Corktown Association are working to set up an All Candidates meeting for federal candidates in the two wards represented by the two associations. Possible dates are September 17/19 or 27/29. Confirmation of dates and locations will be provided once they are determined
