While we’re always strengthening and expanding our network of partners and collaborators, here are some of the organizations and businesses we’ve worked with so far:
Partners:
The St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Association (SLNA) is an Association of residents in the St Lawrence area of the City of Toronto and is incorporated as a non-profit Corporation. The SLNA has served the St. Lawrence neighbourhood and its 30,000 - 35,000 residents since 1982.
The Salvation Army assists vulnerable people in 400 communities across Canada and supports 132 countries through its emergency disaster services, housing and shelter services, social services, and thrift stores.
Renewed Computer Technology (RCT), a not-for-profit organization, has been a valued partner of ours at REmarket since 2021. Through this partnership, donated electronics are given a second life—refurbished whenever possible and passed on to people and organizations who can use them, while anything that can’t be reused is responsibly recycled through EPRA.
This work makes a real difference. RCT’s refurbished computers support students, low-income families, schools, and community groups, helping people stay connected, learn, and work. Last year alone, more than 11,000 computers were refurbished and redistributed, reducing electronic waste while expanding access to technology.
Now, more people can be part of that impact. RCT offers refurbished computers to those looking for an affordable and environmentally responsible option. Each renewed device keeps usable technology out of landfill and supports a more circular approach to how we use electronics.
Renewing a laptop (instead of replacing it with a new one) typically avoids: Carbon emissions: ~150–350 kg CO₂e Water use: ~1,500–3,000 litres of water Material extraction: avoidance of mining and refining of metals such as lithium, cobalt, copper, gold, and aluminium Electronic waste: ~2–3 kg of e-waste prevented from entering the waste stream

Repair Café Toronto is a grassroots volunteer group that organizes events through which neighbours help neighbours learn how to repair. Their events are hosted by local community centres, branches of the Toronto Public Library, and other community-based organizations.
Bike Hub supports local cyclists and fosters a culture of repair and reuse. They help people fix their own bicycles, and provide bike repair workshops on-site and in the neighbourhood. They also collect used bicycles, salvage the good parts, and build up new bikes.
Winners is a valued SLNA-WRG partner as an active supporter of our neighbourhood waste reduction efforts. As a member of the Pact Collective, the store hosts a cosmetics recycling drop off bin available to all patrons. This bin plays an important role in our managing the cosmetics items we collect through our St. Lawrence Community Centre drop off box between REmarkets. Winners also goes above and beyond by ordering additional bins to accommodate the large volumes we collect during each REmarket event. Their team is engaged, supportive, and committed to helping reduce waste in the community.
Jamii is a not-for-profit arts organization based in the Esplanade community, Toronto. They produce creative experiences, arts events and workshops in and by the Esplanade Community. Together WRG and Jamii are teaching local students about waste upcycling through hands-on workshops.
Staples has partnered with Terracycle to collect and recycle used writing instruments and other common forms of household/office waste, such as used ink/toner cartridges and certain types of electronic waste.
The St. Lawrence Market is Toronto's historic public market with 120 venders and hosts the WRG Remakert space.
The St. Lawrence Market BIA is a non-profit organization whose membership includes every business and commercial property owner within the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood. They work cooperatively to improve the public realm, promote the neighbourhood and neighbourhood events, and support local businesses. The St. Lawrence Market BIA is actively working with area residents, government agencies, and consultants to enhance the quality of the environment in which we work and live.
