Our Partners and Collaborators:

While we’re always strengthening and expanding our network of partners and collaborators, here are some of the organizations and businesses we’ve worked with so far:

The St. Lawrence Market BIA is a non-profit organization whose membership includes every business and commercial property owner within the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood. They work cooperatively to improve the public realm, promote the neighbourhood and neighbourhood events, and support local businesses. The St. Lawrence Market BIA is actively working with area residents, government agencies, and consultants to enhance the quality of the environment in which we work and live.

Prosthetics for Foreign Donation PFFD Inc. facilitates mobility by redistributing gently used prosthetics and mobility aids to redeveloping countries in need. PFFD Inc.’s purpose is for all people to have complete mobility, regardless of their geographic location. PFFD Inc. aims to provide equal access to opportunities that contribute to one’s well-being and the betterment of local communities. They are soulfully rooted in the belief that we are all “one people.”

The Salvation Army assists vulnerable people in 400 communities across Canada and supports 132 countries through its emergency disaster services, housing and shelter services, social services, and thrift stores.

Renewed Computer Technology (RCT) is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that empowers learners, educators, and not-for-profit organizations with increased access to information and communications technology (ICT), skill development, and learning opportunities in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.

Repair Café Toronto is a grassroots volunteer group that organizes events through which neighbours help neighbours learn how to repair. Their events are hosted by local community centres, branches of the Toronto Public Library, and other community-based organizations.

Charlie’s Freewheels uses bicycles to support the development of empowered young leaders and self-assured young cyclists. They do this by improving youth access to bicycles, facilitating bicycle-related skill development, and inspiring youth to ride with confidence.

Homes First develops and provides affordable, stable housing and support services to break the cycle of homelessness for people with the fewest housing options.

The Optic Zone is a local business that works with the WRG to collect prescription eyeglasses, which are then distributed overseas to communities in need.

Staples has partnered with Terracycle to collect and recycle used writing instruments and other common forms of household/office waste, such as used ink/toner cartridges and certain types of electronic waste.

Deneko's Construction Inc. has delivered residential contracting in the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood since 2008. They provide high-quality renovations, remodeling, and transformations of spaces. They  prioritize exceeding their clients' expectations. In support of WRG's initiatives Deneko installs and provides ongoing support to the Terracyle Recycling Butt Receptacles(35+) in the neighbourhood.  They also built and installed the REmarket Zone drop off trisorter in the St Lawrence Recreation Centre. All at no cost to the WRG.
