Guidelines for SLN Focused Area (South West Quadrant) were approved by Council in 2005. |
Extend these Guidelines to include all of the SLN. Will require supplementary funding and the cooperation of the City Planning Department. |

2. Heritage Conservation District |
A proposed Heritage Conservation District (St. Lawrence Area Phase) 1 is in process. A study report was approved by City Council in 2005. |

3. Heritage Interpretation |
Significant funds generated from Section 37 and Section 45 benefits. SLNA is to begin championing this project which involves signage, plaques and lighting. |

4. St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Community Improvement Plan (C.I.P.) |
A CIP has been completed for southwest quadrant of SLNA's area. Approved by City Council. |

1. Rail Underpasses
- Improve connections to the Waterfront via Cherry, Parliament, Jarvis, Sherbourne and Yonge Streets. |
GO Transit, City Transportation and Clean and Beautiful City to address Yonge and Lower Jarvis Streets.
Lower Jarvis plan approved March/April 2009,
Yonge plan was implimented in 2009.

2. West/East Corridor
Aim: To create a pedestrian/cycling corridor from Union Station to the Park at the Mouth of the Don. |
Requires a specific plan to include bike lanes, signage etc.. |

3. Walks and Gardens Trust Fund
Aim is to have City formally recognise that this Trust Fund still exists and reactivate it. |
The existence of the Trust Fund has been validated and it should have an endowment of ca. $7 million.
City staff have acknowledged that there is money in the Fund and that the Union Station rents should/may contribute. |
Meet with City legal staff, Pam McConnell etc.
The Trust needs to be formally recognised by City Council. |

4. First Parliament Site
Aim is to the ensure that whole site is in public ownership soon and to plan a commemmoration on the site at time of anniversary of War of 1812. |
George Smitherman to provide details of agreement between Ontario Real Estate Corp./Ontario Heritage Foundation and Porsche Dealer.
Ensure that the remaining part of site (car wash) is brought into public ownership.
